The owner was friendly, but the apartment was dated and didn’t look like the misleading website photos. I’ve attached some more realistic pictures at the end. There’s no proper shower, just a water outlet on the wall. Using it leaves the whole bathroom flooded, so you have to mop extensively before you can use anything else. At 60 euros a night, that feels overpriced. We could hear our neighbors talking and snoring through the walls. The property is by the sea, but there’s no beach to swim from because the road and concrete cover it. You’ll need a car to reach a cafe, restaurant, or supermarket, all a few kilometers away.

Our little one loved playing ball in the garden, using the swings by the sea, and enjoying the playground. The house was roomy for three people, with a lovely garden right on the water, and Mr. Panagiotis was kind and helpful. It felt like home straight away. The location is great for kids, and the picturesque village of Rodia is lovely. Eleonas and Ryzomilos beaches are nearby, and each morning a car-bakery comes by with coffee and breakfast. We had a wonderful time!
