Nefeli Hotel

The room was enormous, with a living area holding two big couches and a huge TV, plus a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and another small TV. The bathroom had a spacious jacuzzi, and the management gave us a really nice gift. Staff were helpful, reception was very nice, and the entrance had a lovely roundabout. There was a lot to choose from at breakfast, and we could see the large pool from the balcony. The location was very good too, with a big parking area that had wheelchair spaces and electric vehicle charging spots. I really appreciated the gift and had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is nicely located, with great parking, helpful staff, and very clean rooms. The rooms could still use some improvement: the bathtubs were dirty and smelled. The pool is nice, though only a small part is under two meters. Breakfast was okay, with plenty of choices, and the price is good for what you get. A nice touch was the candy and wine waiting on arrival.

We booked here while driving across Europe back to the UK in December, mainly because they accepted our dog and had a car park. The hotel is outside central Alexandroupoli, which was fine for our road trip. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Even though there weren't many guests, they still served us a tasty dinner. Breakfast was okay, neither great nor bad; I imagine it may be more lavish when the hotel is busier. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

This works well for a business trip or as a stop while visiting the area's historical sites. You'll need a car, taxi, or bus, since it's a little outside Alexandroupoli. The hotel and service are nice, with a huge parking lot and a clean, adequately sized pool. The nearby beach is a 15-minute walk, but it's not the best one; the beach bar is nice. One downside is that the restaurant menu has no seafood and no retsina at all. In the city, don't miss the archaeological museum, the excavations in Zone, and the ancient theater of Maronia.
