Santa Rosa Beach

Easy, free parking and reasonable prices, and the location is great right by the beach. That beach made the stay much more enjoyable. Some rooms are beside the pool bar, though, so quiet can be hard to come by. Room 109 was especially bad: the bar fridges sit right outside the window, making constant noise and leaving no privacy or way to get fresh air.

The beach was fine and breakfast was okay, and the rooms themselves were alright. But the bathroom was so small there was barely room to shower, and we found a spider in our room. The wi-fi also didn't work properly in the rooms, which was a big problem.

The staff were really friendly, and my room was clean and nice. The beach was pleasant and fairly shallow, good for kids. For the price, it's all right, though there's nothing to brag about. The beach bar always had cold beer, but lunch choices were basically just a sandwich, brought in from somewhere else. Lidl is close if you want to prepare your own food; otherwise, the nearest tavern is a 20-25 minute walk or a drive away. In the family rooms the bathrooms are tiny, and my shower curtain didn't close properly, so the bathroom was a mess after each shower. There's nowhere to dry towels, and putting them out in the yard risks them getting dirty from cars driving nearby through the dirt. I'd still recommend it.

A trouble-free, enjoyable place to stay if you aren't looking for luxury. The hotel is clean and right by the sea, with the center nearby and all the facilities we needed. The staff were helpful, and the owner even fixed a broken part on our car :). You do need to buy something to eat or drink to use the beach loungers and umbrellas. I don't understand the bad comments.
