Villa Azalea Chania

The hosts were so kind and patient with all our requests, and they got back to us really quickly. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We loved the house itself as much as its location. The beach is five minutes away, with a supermarket and bakery just two minutes away. We spent plenty of time outdoors, cooking and eating together, and the pool was beautiful. Our boys stayed in it for hours. We had two amazing weeks at Villa Azalea this August, and we still miss it every day.

The location made things easy: a well-stocked supermarket was practically on the doorstep, and shops, restaurants and beaches were all within a 5-10 minute walk. The villa was spacious, comfortable and clean. Cleaners came every few days to change the sheets, empty the bins and tidy up. The hosts were fantastic. They answered lots of questions before we travelled, and even put gluten-free bread and almond milk in my welcome pack. They were waiting for us when we arrived around midnight, welcomed us like family and carried our suitcases upstairs. Kostos also came to see us off and help with the bags. We didn’t get as much use out of the pool and outdoor facilities as we’d hoped because of the weather, though they were great. The main pool was all one depth and quite deep, which was a disadvantage for one of us who couldn’t swim.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and our stay exceeded my expectations. It was a great place to relax and enjoy time with family or friends. The modern stone villa is spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a kitchen equipped with everything you need. There’s a fireplace in the living room for winter stays, and a lovely private garden with a large pool for both kids and adults, plus sunbeds and umbrellas. Almyrida village is scenic, with tavernas and supermarkets nearby and sandy beaches close by. I’d definitely recommend it.

Everything was great at this villa. The owners were helpful and dependable, and the location is excellent, right by the sea. Taverns and supermarkets are just next door.
