Althea Boutique Hotel

The pool is wonderfully calm, and the cocktails were delicious. We had a unique and really enjoyable stay at this top-notch boutique hotel in Ammoopi. The rooms are spacious and spotless, while breakfast was among the best I’ve had, with local ingredients and homemade flavors that brought Karpathos’ traditions to mind. The owners are a local family who clearly love welcoming guests. And don’t miss meeting Luigi 🐶.

Breakfast was freshly cooked every day and served on a lovely balcony open to the sea. The hotel is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. It’s a small boutique place just a few minutes by foot or car from Amoopi bay, one of the most amazing beaches in Karpathos. Maria and the whole team are super friendly and helpful. A great choice for a relaxed stay on the island, highly recommended.

Althea has beautiful shared spaces and views, a delicious breakfast, and such warm hospitality. The rooms are huge and comfortable, with all modern amenities, and every detail feels just right. It has the feel of serene luxury. If you’re coming to the amazing island of Karpathos, staying here is a great choice.

Althea Boutique feels like a home because it’s family run. Maria designed and decorated it with so much care, from the stones around the property to the artwork, colors, and lighting. Every room has its own lovely design, and the whole elegant-looking hotel has stunning Aegean views. It exceeded my expectations, and I’d be happy to come back.
