Ammoudi is peaceful, with only a few places for dinner or entertainment. There are a handful of restaurants and fast food spots within walking distance, while Alikanas and Alykes are a few kilometers away and easier to reach by car. The owners, a local couple, are around much of the day tending the garden and cleaning, so you can speak to them directly and get things sorted quickly. They're lovely and really try to make your stay comfortable. When our A/C had a problem, they fixed it fast. For budget accommodation, this is a rare find. The room was roomy, clean and fairly recently renovated, with a double bed, TV, A/C, fridge, kitchenware and a balcony overlooking the garden, with a table and two chairs. There's also a garden with trees and umbrellas where you can have breakfast or an evening drink. The shower is quite small and may be awkward for some.

Good value for the money.

Rooms are cleaned every day and the towels get changed, and there's shaded parking available throughout the day. The first floor has a lovely sea view; downstairs, the garden sits in a green lawn under olive trees. It's a quiet spot that's handy for exploring the island, with beaches and well-stocked minimarkets only a few meters away. The owners are exceptionally kind and always ready to help with any problem. Great value, and I'd recommend the place to families and younger travelers alike.

The best parts were the very comfortable bed, the air conditioning, and the morning housekeeping. A woman tidied the place each day and replaced the towels every three days. The owner was friendly and kind too. We stayed for 7 nights. The little house has a bathroom, kitchenette and bedroom all close together. The shower is especially cramped, with a curtain and no wall mount. There's no oven, and the camping-style stovetop was slow and awkward to use. It's not ideally placed for the most popular beaches, but the price is very good for what you get.
