Ampelos Hotel

Ampelakia is a lovely village and makes a good place to break up the trip to South Greece. The hotel had a great breakfast too. I'd recommend staying here for a stopover.

The valley and the mountains around it look astonishing from this wonderful place. The rooms were tidy, and the staff were helpful. The owners' daughter was especially friendly. You can walk to the nearby village, too. Highly recommended!

We had a peaceful, relaxing stay at Ampelos Hotel and would definitely like to return. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the village. A few updates, such as brighter bathroom lighting, stronger wifi and a more modern TV, would make them feel more luxurious, but none of that detracted from our stay. We especially enjoyed the hotel's warmly decorated living room, bar and dining room, which soon became our favorite spots. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. The village is beautiful, and getting there from the National Highway is easier than it might seem. It's worth wandering its lovely alleys past the churches, mansions and taverns. We’re grateful to all the hotel staff for their wonderful hospitality and quick help with everything we asked for, from an urgent change to our arrival and departure dates to mechanical assistance. Rhea, Konstantina and everyone else treated us so well and made sure our stay was unforgettable.
