The rooms are in a good spot, but they feel dated and really need renovating. Maybe that explains why there wasn't a hairdryer. What spoiled things most was Mrs. Antonia's manner. She reacted with a lot of irony when telling us that in 20 years of renting rooms, neither she nor other island professionals had heard of leaving small shampoo, shower gel, or soap bottles for guests. She insisted nobody had ever asked for them before, and said tourists should bring their own toiletries in their luggage. Then at checkout she apparently got our departure time wrong and asked us to pay extra, saying we would be leaving late. The whole exchange felt rude and unprofessional.
