We loved it enough to book another stay before we’d even left. The sea views from the pool area, pool bar, and outdoor restaurant spaces were lovely, and the beach had free loungers when we visited. Our new room had a complimentary, fully stocked minibar. We first noticed that our swim-up room would stay in the shade at this time of year, though that spot might get lovely sun in summer. The team moved us when we asked, and the buggy ride to our room on arrival was a nice touch. We spent our lunches at the pool bar, included with all-inclusive, and the staff were great at catering to our needs. The buffet had plenty of variety and the food was good overall. Waiting staff usually brought drinks promptly. The all-inclusive drinks selection was great too. Late-night snacks would be a nice addition, though the shop and room service were options until 10pm. Room service had an €8 tray charge, with food charged separately and drinks free in a superior room. The spa app listed daily offers, so we booked a 30-minute back and shoulder massage for €45 and then used the spa facilities for an hour. Spa access wasn’t complimentary, and an hour on its own cost €20, but it was good value. Eilina helped arrange the room move and get maintenance to our first room when the sink had an issue, which was fixed promptly. Another staff member gave us complimentary late checkout, from the usual 11am until 1pm. Everyone, including cleaning and maintenance staff, greeted us warmly. We’d recommend Stella Blue and can’t wait to come back.

We had a great time at Stella Blue. The staff were all so welcoming, including Dimitri at reception, Leoandro at the main lobby bar, Konsontenouis at the pool bar, and the women working at the poolside and La carte restaurants. I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but I’ll share photos of my favourite staff members. La carte was great, and lunch by the pool was my favourite. The only things I’d change are the dinner options, which could be better, and the attention to detail with room cleanliness. I’d rate the hotel around 4.5 stars. Thanks, Stella Blue.

We’ve already reserved our room for October half term next year. We were looking for somewhere to return to as a couple, and Stella Blue is the place. We came straight from the Mitsis Rinela, and Stella Blue surpassed it in every way except the number of à la carte restaurants. We had a beautiful room, among the best I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping was excellent, and the cleaner in our original block was friendly, kind, and good at her job. She asked how we were and complimented my braids. I loved the cave-like showers and the lovely-smelling, excellent products. The minibar was stocked and great value for my girlfriend, who drank a lot of alcoholic and fizzy drinks. I’d only add a non-sparkling drink besides water. Water was easy to get, and we could order drinks to our swim-up for free, though there was an €8 tray charge. The room’s lack of afternoon sun was a problem for me. My PTSD causes severe insomnia, so we booked a swim-up room hoping for sunny loungers in the afternoon. Our first room, 441 I think, was in shade all day, at least from when I woke at 11am, probably because of the October sun. I spoke to Eilina, the red-haired receptionist, on Sunday after we arrived Saturday. She moved us to room 407 on Monday, which got sun all afternoon. It transformed our trip: I could get eight hours of sleep instead of trying to find a sunbed after four hours. I can’t say enough how much we appreciated it. Thank you, Eilina. The welcome and check-in were the best we’ve had, even compared with most 5* hotels. Reception and concierge were brilliant, from the desk team to the people who took our bags and drove us to the room. Everyone seemed genuinely glad we were there. We loved the welcome drink, which I believe was non-alcoholic, though I’d have preferred alcohol in it. We had two fantastic spa massages for €45 each. The spa is stunning and has regular offers, so it’s worth going. When we asked reception for a later checkout because we’d gone to sleep very late, they gave us two extra hours in the room for free. Sorry I didn’t catch the man’s name, but thank you. The team arranged showers and a cab as well, and we enjoyed the facilities until we left. With my allergies and the room move request, we know we weren’t the easiest guests, but the team stayed friendly and welcoming. It’s an incredible place with 5* staff. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks for everything. Emma & Niamh

We’re seven days into our ten-day stay and already thinking about coming back. The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, and there’s a shop on site. We’ve spent each day by the quieter pool. The cocktail list is excellent. Food can feel similar from day to day, though there are two places to choose from for lunch and dinner. Evening entertainment hasn’t been the best, but there’s something different to do and plenty of places within walking distance or a short taxi ride. We love it here.

The staff made the whole week feel effortless. From the welcome drinks and freshly prepared food on arrival to being driven to our room by golf buggy, every detail felt thoughtful. By the time we left, waiters were bringing our favourite drinks without needing to ask. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the bartenders, waiters, and entertainment team, was warm, hardworking, and keen to help. The bar staff and waiters at blē were especially fantastic. We loved the food and drinks. Breakfast had a fresh, plentiful buffet with made-to-order options, and the pool bar cooked meals to order. The chicken souvlaki with tzatziki was a standout for me. Ocean, the à la carte restaurant, was a great option for guests staying 7+ days. Cocktails were expertly made, and bartenders were happy to make drinks off-menu. We loved both the piña coladas and mocktails. The resort has four large saltwater pools and plenty of comfortable, high-quality loungers. There’s also a sandy beach just across the road with free loungers, clear water, and beautiful sunset views. The facilities include an indoor gym, a reformer Pilates studio with free classes, and padel and tennis courts, though racket rental costs a small fee. Afternoon entertainment included live music, singers, DJs, and lively aqua aerobics. The hotel is newly refurbished, with modern design and lovely interiors. Our room had a comfortable bed, stylish look, and high-quality bathroom, but storage was a bit limited, with a wardrobe and no drawers. Analipsi nearby is quiet. Heraklion is only 20 minutes away, though we were happy to stay at the resort. We had the best week at Stella Blue Seaside Resort and would return in a heartbeat.
