Nikos Studios

The noise at night is awful, with motorcycles racing in the streets and a nearby disco playing shi**y "music". The place badly needs renovation.

The setting is beautiful, and the service is the friendliest. It feels like heaven on earth, and I'll definitely be back!

The room standard was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend this place even to someone with modest expectations. The beach nearby and the pool are positives, but the facility seems to meet no standards, with cleanliness and renovation badly lacking. There was mold in the refrigerator, an ancient stove, holes in the ceiling where you couldn't tell what might come out, and power outlets sticking out of the walls. The towels felt like pumice. In my week there, sheets and towels were changed just once. Trash was taken out daily, and I have no complaint about the toilet paper.

Anaxos itself is a lovely town for relaxing, enjoying local food, and spending time on the beach, with hospitable Greeks. But I wouldn't recommend Nikos Studios. The rooms need urgent renovation. The beds were the one thing I liked, with comfortable, fairly new mattresses. The rest was dirty or neglected: old, sloppy paint on the walls, a dirty kitchen area, putty or mortar smeared with paint in the bathroom, a moldy shower curtain, and a dirty toilet bowl. The balcony door wouldn't shut because its mechanism was broken. As far as I could tell, it wasn't just our room. Common areas and the pool weren't cleaned while we were there. The pool's interior paint left blue marks on the soles of my feet :( During my week, towels and bed linen were changed once; only the room trash cans were emptied every day. Compared with other studios I've stayed in, Nikos Studio was dirty and neglected.
