Paradise Art Hotel by Mr and Mrs White

We loved the location at Paradise Art Hotel in Andros. It’s close to what you need, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. Our room was spotless and well cared for, and the pool area was a great place to unwind, with clear water and tidy surroundings. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with lots to choose from, including fruit, pastries, hot dishes and local specialties. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel and love to return.

The view from the location was lovely, and the lady at reception was delightful, helpful and friendly. She was the one real plus for me. The hotel is advertised as four-star, but my stay fell well short of that. My room was attended to only once, and the bed was roughly made, with the towel left on the other single bed. I was charged €10 per night in city tax, and it didn’t feel like value for money. Breakfast was very basic, and the pool area looked tired and poorly maintained.

The building is lovely, with a tasteful mix of a traditional mansion and modern design, and the location is good, just a short walk from Chora. It’s hard to find much better around here. The service didn’t match the setting. On an island known for warm hospitality, we expected staff to be more welcoming and helpful, but they seemed indifferent. Nobody told us whether breakfast was included or where it was served. The bathroom badly needs renovation, and the cleanliness overall fell short of what we expected.

The hotel is in a good position and was generally clean, apart from our room never being cleaned after the third night. We stayed four nights, and were told the room would be cleaned on day three because of Covid. It never happened. Breakfast was poor, with old croissants and stale bread and cheese, so we ended up eating out. The prices were high for the services we got. With a renovation, this hotel could be five-star.
