Elia House

A beautiful, peaceful spot, and the house has a wonderful traditional feel. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The room was nice, with a great view and fairly good amenities, but the small beds, old mattresses, and wooden frames were drawbacks. We could put up with those. The serious issue was a permanent tenant with three wild guard dogs roaming loose on the grounds. They went after my 13-year-old son on our first day; it could have been worse if I hadn’t stepped in. When I complained, they came close to swearing at me. The same thing happened again two days later and on our last day. I contacted the management office, and they said they’d known about this from previous years, had made recommendations many times without success, and couldn’t do anything. They said I could call the police if I wanted. That’s completely unacceptable. The people involved seem to think the land belongs to them just because they’re supposedly animal lovers. Unfortunately, I won’t return to this accommodation.

There are insects all over the unclean house, on the walls, in the bedding, under the blankets, and even beneath the bed. There weren’t enough sheets, and the ones there had been washed rather than being new. The Wi-Fi was extremely weak, almost unusable, and there was no password, so we had to call back to get it. The refrigerator took two days to freeze water or ice. Kitchen utensils were lacking, with no scissors at all. Water at the sink was lukewarm, sometimes a little hot. Outside, lots of dogs ran at us and barked constantly when we left or came back, or when anyone went into the garage. We couldn’t use the swimming pool because the dogs would chase us, and the pool belongs to another house anyway. The sea view in the pictures wasn’t something we could enjoy, as it’s part of the apartment building next door.

The house was really comfortable, and the surrounding landscape was beautiful.
