Argo Apartments

These rooms feel like they belong to another era, so they may not be what you picture. They’re clearly social in nature, but they’re as clean as can be, and the people are kind and welcoming. It’s a budget option in a great spot for walks along nearby beaches, evenings in Nafplio, and trips south to Astros and Leonidio. There’s comfortable parking and the surroundings are very pleasant.

This time, the price had gone up while the facilities had gone downhill. There was mold all over the bathroom tiles and cockroaches in the rooms, and the TV didn’t work. They never got it fixed for us. In previous years, the place was clean, the service impeccable, and the prices fair for what you got. It now feels abandoned, and the facilities no longer justify the cost. There are much better places in the area at the same prices.

The tap ran yellow water, so we didn’t dare drink it, and the air conditioner only blew hot air. I also found dead cockroaches in the bathroom and the rooms as soon as I went in. I wouldn’t return even if they put a gun to my head.

The only thing I liked was the square right in front. We stayed one night in a four-bed setup that was really two rooms joined together, and even that was more than enough. The air conditioning didn’t work, the room smelled strongly of mold, and there was a dirty towel left hanging in the bathroom from the previous guests. The bathroom was old, rusty-smelling, and in poor shape, and the ventilation was awful. There were dead cockroaches in the hallway too. It’s an old hotel and it shows. With small children, I wouldn’t recommend it to friends because of the dirt. I don’t recommend the place.
