Ionian Plaza Hotel & Spa

I visited the spa for a 60-minute massage and use of the pool and sauna. The spa is modern, lovely and very relaxing, and the staff were kind. They asked about the areas bothering us and worked on them during the massage. I’d definitely recommend a visit, whether you’re staying at the hotel or are in the Argostoli area and want to relax a little.

The view of the square from the room was awesome, and the location is great. The staff are very personable, and Zoe the massuese at the spa is incredible. Highly recommend her.

Argostoli is a fantastic location, and I’d happily stay here again. I was there for one night. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, with the facilities I’d expect, and the air conditioning was quiet and worked well. My small rear balcony looked over restaurants and a thoroughfare, but the doors were well glazed and kept the noise out. The shower and toilet are enclosed in glass, which might bother some people, though I was fine with it. The hotel seems to be getting refurbished bit by bit. Breakfast was included and adequate, nothing special. Hotels really should get decent toasters.

The location is good, but the rest was very poor. The twin beds were so small they seemed meant for tiny people. The rooms felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and all the other facilities were very basic.
