Michael's House - Argostoli

Michael’s house felt like home, with everything we needed, and the area was great. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to downtown, making it one of the best places to stay in Argostoli. The place was clean and comfortable, and Michael replied quickly and made everything very easy. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The apartment was modern, spacious, clean and close to the main town, with a great view of the bridge. We always found parking outside, though watch out because Google Maps may send you down a dead end. The patio was lovely, and the hose outside came in handy for rinsing sand off our feet. There was plenty of storage in the large bedroom, lots of room in the living room, and I liked the shutters because they blocked the outside light. The shower was excellent with good pressure, but you need to heat the water about an hour beforehand. The washing machine was useful, and the four tablets left for the week were enough. We arrived to juice cartons, six large bottles of water, snacks and a fridge with water. The kitchen had the utensils and basics like salt, pepper and coffee, but no oil. There was AC in every room. It took us a while to work out the controls, but it worked really well once we did. The WiFi was slow at first. We contacted the host, who kindly reset it, and then it was fine. A microwave and toaster would be useful, and there’s only one mirror, a massive one in the bathroom. Mirrors in the bedrooms would help if a family is staying. After each shower, the bathroom flooded. I mentioned it to the host, who apologized and said they’d look into it, so hopefully that’s been sorted.

Kefalonia is the best island I’ve visited! The house was clean and beautiful, and the location was convenient. Lovely people, too. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed the apartment. It’s well equipped and has all the comforts, and it’s very close to the center by car. My only suggestion is to add a few pillows. The mattresses felt a bit hard for us, and the single pillow was very soft, so I wasn’t comfortable. Even so, everything else was fantastic and I’m keeping my rating as it is.
