Mirabel Hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke very good English. Breakfast was great, with lots to choose from and some freshly cooked options. The hotel is right in the town centre, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The bathroom was in good order, with good shower pressure. I couldn’t fault much, though the beds felt a little hard and the pillows were too big for my liking. All in all, a great stay and highly recommended.

Rosa’s cakes and pastries were the best, and the breakfast she served was the best we’ve ever had on a holiday. Everyone was lovely, and they gave me a wonderful birthday surprise in our room. The hotel is right by the main square in Argostoli, which made the location perfect. We had a great 10-day stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

The staff were exceptional, especially ROSA, and the room cleaner was lovely. The room was small and the shower especially tiny, but the room was comfortable. I’d recommend staying for the staff.

Breakfast was a good spread, with sweet and savoury choices and some local delicacies. The women looking after it were friendly and helpful. I spent seven days here on my own, and the fresh towels each day were appreciated. My standard single room was basic but clean, with everything I needed, including a double bed that took up about three quarters of the floor. The balcony was disappointing. It only fit two small metal chairs, with no space for a little table, and looked over a local Italian restaurant’s outdoor dining area and the hotel’s back yard. In the evenings, diners below could look up at me, so sitting out there felt awkward. I had to close the curtains for privacy, including when using the toilet or shower. Net curtains might help. The party bars by the square were also clearly audible until 3am, with bass notes reverberating from around 10pm. The hotel is functional and well placed in the city centre, beside several restaurants and a flat five-minute walk from the waterfront. It was a good base and well appointed, but it feels more suited to a business stay than a holiday hotel. I’m trying to give a fair review.
