Toxotis Villas

The ocean views were spectacular, and the pool area was lovely, with a small bar open in the afternoons. We also thought breakfast was worth the price. There was plenty to eat, and we couldn’t find a better one in the nearby towns. We stayed four nights in a basic room, which was more than enough for a couple. The rooms are well cared for, romantic in style, and have modern amenities. The private-pool room looked amazing too. We had a lovely stay and will recommend the villa to friends and family. We’d come back sometime.

We spent two nights here for our honeymoon, and it was such a relaxing stay. The views were even better than the photos, and the whole place felt clean and well organized. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we liked sitting on the patio overlooking the pool. The front desk lady was really helpful and managed to get us a reservation at a great restaurant at short notice. There were lots of tasty local places nearby, but breakfast at Toxotis was the best, fresh and delicious. The sea is only a few steps down, and we took an easy little hike to get a closer look. It’s family owned and has just 11 rooms, so they make a point of treating each guest like family.

We spent 10 days here with five little kids, and the place was spotless. The pool stayed really clean, there was good wine, and the view was divine. The villa is near Nas beach, which was beautiful beyond measure, and around three of the island’s best wineries. There’s also a supermarket about 600 meters away. The hosts were kind, quick to respond, and helped with everything we needed, always smiling and clearly proud to offer warm, caring service. We met some of the nicest people, and it felt like heaven on earth. Maybe I sound over the top, but you can’t really understand the place until you’ve been there. Even the stunning photos don’t capture its beauty or energy. The drive from the airport takes about three hours along very crazy roads. The island’s natural beauty makes the journey something special. I’d recommend a visit to anyone, and we had the best time of our lives.

The room itself was run down, with rust in the bathrooms and very old appliances. Only one employee seemed to be looking after the whole hotel. The views were decent, but there were no window screens, so we had to keep the windows shut because of mosquitoes. Our group had booked two rooms separately by email and sent a 30% deposit for each by bank transfer. Half our group couldn’t come, so we checked into just one room. We assumed they would keep the deposit for our friends’ no-show. Instead, at checkout we were pressured into paying the full price for both rooms. We had a child with us, and the staff got confrontational, so we paid and left feeling robbed. There are much better options than paying for this and being treated this way. I’d stay away.
