The breakfast was pleasant, which is the reason I gave two stars. The room, though, was filthy. Both the bedding and comforters had large, obvious stains and lots of hair, so we slept on towels. There weren't enough towels for everyone either. The neighborhood also didn't seem safe to me. We followed the airport pickup instructions exactly, by email and on the phone, but the driver scolded us because our delayed flight meant he had to pay for parking. When we finally reached the hotel exhausted, hungry, and worn out from traveling, we had to wait about eight minutes before checking in while the owner discussed arrangements for the next day's transfers with the driver. Then we got to the room and were disgusted by how dirty it looked. I travel often and research our stays carefully, so I'm embarrassed I was somehow led to think this place was okay. The free airport transfer isn't worth it.

We stayed for one night before heading home, after booking months ahead because the reviews looked good. While we were out, someone entered our room and took valuable jewelry and my cash. It was the only place where I'd left my backpack during the trip, and I assumed a room I paid for and locked would be safe. The hotel arranged a shuttle to dinner, and the restaurant arranged our ride back. Whoever took the things seemed to know they had time. They left the room undisturbed and took only the contents, leaving the wallet and jewelry box, so we wouldn't suspect anything. With late travel and the little ones to look after, I only realized I'd been robbed once we got to the US. I called the owner, who said he trusted his employees and that I had probably lost the items somewhere else. He also said there were no security cameras. There aren't any in-room safes either. I've contacted the police in Greece and am working with a lawyer. It was awful for our family. I know airport-area hotels that work for families can be hard to find, but after this I wouldn't consider staying here.

Breakfast was cold coffee, cold toast, and a cold boiled egg, served on dirty dishes. The cats had been eating leftovers from previous guests on old furniture and tablecloths. The hotel is run down and dirty, and the staff were rude. It completely misrepresented itself. We weren't told where breakfast would be, so we went to the lobby, where we expected it to be served. A staff member yelled that we weren't allowed there instead of directing us or putting up a sign. When we tried to explain that we didn't know, he kept yelling and said he would not drive us to the airport either. We haven't left yet, so we'll see what happens. Transportation is included in the room cost, and we'll seek to recover that expense if we have to take a taxi. We'd had a terrific time in Greece until the end of the trip. Do not stay here.

Our flight schedule meant we only needed a quick overnight stay. The room was comfortable, the staff were great, and the airport shuttle made things very convenient.

Some guests felt the hotel's five-star marketing set expectations its service didn't meet. Room service and other standards, in their view, fell short of what you'd expect from a five-star property.
