Hotel Angela

At Hotel Angela, even using the bathroom felt like a challenge. The toilet is inside the shower, or maybe the shower is over the toilet, and there’s barely any legroom. It also struggles with solid waste, and since it’s just down the hall from the secondary bedroom, the smell travels there throughout the day. That bedroom has a dangerous spot too, where one wrong step could mean a broken ankle. The beds are as hard as concrete. Terrible place, even at a cheap price. It’s a nightmare.

We stayed at Hotel Anglea in Asprovalta as a family of four, with two adults and two kids. It’s a low budget hotel, but it had what we needed for a family seaside holiday. The kids could play in the lovely garden, and the huge, quiet beach is just across the road. You do have to clean your own room, though everything we needed was provided. Getting food was easy, and town is only 2 km away. It felt a bit like being at home while on holiday. The owner VANGHELIS was very friendly and spoke some Serbian and a mix of Bulgarian. A young girl and someone called Yoannis spoke decent English. I’d recommend this guest house to anyone wanting to stay away from the crowds and noise of big, expensive resorts.

The building was old and dirty, with a small kitchen and only half a dining table for four adults in the apartment. The shower was broken, among other issues. I also had to pay 25 euro for AC.

We had a great stay at this lovely, peaceful hotel by the beach. The garden is beautiful, too. Thank you, Angela!
