Though right in the village, the cottage sits in a quiet spot. The beach is 100m away on one side, and the cliffs are 20m away on the other side of the headland, great for snorkeling. The house is clean and has lots of balconies, where we spent most of our time. The living room was unfortunately very uncomfortable, and the kitchen and bathrooms could use renovations and new fittings. The owners were very friendly.

We stayed at Gardenia House, booked through Booking.com. It's in the same location as Villa Galini, and the same owners manage both. Dimitris and Galina were incredibly welcoming hosts. The little apartment is charming, bright, and tastefully decorated, with a lovely terrace and an exceptional view of Assos Bay. It's perfectly located too. I'd highly recommend walking up to the Asos fort for the view and trying the amazing roast suckling pig at Platanos restaurant, just a stone's throw away.
