The handmade breakfast was fresh and local, and it felt like it was made with care. That same thoughtfulness came through throughout our stay at Chrysalis. The owner and staff were warm, welcoming, and professional from the moment we arrived, and we ended up making real friendships with people who were so open and kind. It felt like joining a big, warm family. Chrysalis is beautifully designed, spotless, and full of character. Its unique location gave us breathtaking views and made the stay feel even more special. It’s a place where you can connect, unwind, and feel inspired. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for everything!

The staff were lovely, breakfast was great, and the views are amazing. But we chose an adults-only hotel for our honeymoon, and a family with a baby and toddler checked into the room next door on our last night. They were loud. If it had happened earlier, we would have complained or moved hotels, but we didn’t want to make a fuss on a special trip. We stayed at the beginning of September, though a hotel that describes itself as adults-only should be adults-only whatever the time of year. We also paid extra for the nicer suite with a hot tub. It leaked, leaving the terrace floor wet all the time. And if you’re a light sleeper, be aware you can hear the room above from the bed. We woke each morning to noise from upstairs, so I’d suggest choosing a top-floor room. The rest of the stay was nice, but honestly I wouldn’t stay here again. At 340 euros a night, the experience didn’t feel justified. There are lots of other island options with great views and excellent reviews, and Greek hotel staff are nearly always fantastic.

My room had such a romantic, inspiring view, and the staff were always polite and helpful. Their smiles each morning made my day. For me, this is the best hotel in Chora, Astypalaia island. A special thanks to everyone for the hospitality, professionalism, and courtesy.

We were there for a wedding this June, and everything was wonderful. The view was stunning, the food delicious, and the rooms spotless. The traditional pie was the breakfast star. All the staff at Chrysalis were fantastic. Definitely recommend!
