Getting to the Acropolis and metro was easy from this hotel, which was in a really good spot. Breakfast was warm and okay. The bathroom had a persistent smell, even with the window open, but I didn’t have any other issues.

The location is the one real plus, close to the Acropolis, Plaka, and Athens’ tourist sights. My room was only 8 square meters, with a single bed and no desk. The curtains didn’t block the early morning light, and the shower was so cramped I couldn’t fit properly. For €250 a night, that was ridiculous, especially as I had four nights booked. I asked management either to move me to a better room with at least a desk so I could work, or refund the last two nights so I could stay elsewhere. Their polite answer was that I could pay another €50 per night for a better room. Places in these conditions shouldn’t have three stars or be working with the public. I don’t understand how travel agencies offer it. It felt more like a low-end hostel.
I slept well, and the hotel worked fine for a couple of nights. It’s handy for walking around central Athens, but for the same money I think other hotels offer better value. The place is good, just not amazing, so keep luxury expectations low. If you’re short on options, you could stay here. Thanks for the stay.
We needed somewhere for an overnight stop, and Acropolis had what we needed, including breakfast so we could get going quickly. The bed was comfortable, and the marble and old wood gave the place a warm feel. There’s a metro stop a short walk up the road, plus quaint wine bars, cafes, and a lovely little restaurant in the nearby streets. We enjoyed the night.
The location was good, and the room was a decent size, though it looked old. The toilet lid kept falling down while I was seated, which was annoying. The morning staff member wasn’t welcoming or friendly at first, though her manner improved a little over the next few days. I also didn’t feel safe leaving room keys on the counter where anyone could take one. During our four-day stay, my wallet and a tote bag went missing. The tote bag had stayed in our room the whole time, but I couldn’t find it when packing to leave. It may have been taken along with my wallet.
