Great location, and we had hot water, a balcony, plates, and music. Generally it was cool. One thing that was new for us was paying 8 euros each for towels. Thank you!

The location was the one good thing. The bathroom was small, old, and rusty, and bed linens cost an extra 8 euros a night. Don’t let the pictures fool you.

Being within walking distance of Plaka and the Acropolis was the one positive. The apartment we got didn’t match the photos at all. The booking showed a one-bedroom apartment, but we ended up in a “penthouse” that looked nothing like what we’d seen. It felt pretty random, and we expected the place we booked to match the pictures. There was nobody there, so we checked ourselves in and out. I understand that may be a modern way of doing things, but it felt strange and a bit unsafe. They charged us 16 euros in cash for towels and bedsheets, 8 euros per person, which also seemed peculiar. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We only stayed one night after arriving in Athens around 10 in the evening. After walking around until 2 a.m., I slept really well. Finding parking was the tricky part. Street parking is free, but after 10 p.m. it seemed virtually impossible to find a spot, and our SUV with a roof box wouldn’t fit in most covered lots. The property does have a free garage where a normal car, even with a roof box, can get in without a problem. I also found coffee in the kitchen and water in the fridge, which was a very nice surprise.
