Athenian Grand Riviera Villa

The host was very responsive and handled most of our requests, and getting around by Uber and Free Now was easy, with quick availability. We spent two weeks here in August as a family group of 11. The villa was clean, spacious and well furnished, with five rooms and three bathrooms, so we fit comfortably. There’s a great delicatessen and rotisserie around the corner, very convenient for supplies and good quality food. The Voula / Vougliameni / Glyfada areas are lovely for a holiday, with beaches, restaurants and things to do. A few practical points for a large group: the small pool and garden couldn’t really fit all 11 of us, so the kids and a few adults could be by the pool while everyone else stayed on the terrace or indoors. Neither dining table had room for 11, and even after the host brought four extra chairs, we were always shifting chairs between the house, terrace and garden to sit together. The balconies are nice and roomy, but have no tables or chairs. Kitchen dishes and utensils were limited, with just enough mugs and no bowls. Apart from dishwashing supplies, a vacuum and an outdoor broom, there were no cleaning products. We had to buy quite a few things, including a mop, to keep the place clean, which was frustrating over a long stay. Having a car would be better, though we managed fine without one.

A quiet spot away from the city, with nice beaches nearby and a very helpful owner. The place is spacious and minimalist across three floors, with air conditioning in every room. The pool was clean, and there’s a washing machine and dryer.

Everything was perfect.
