Out of the three hotels I visited last week, this one was the best, though the stay had a mixed ending. My son and I arrived late at night in the rain. A really nice woman found us a room even though they were full, and we paid €55. The room and area were good, and in the morning we could choose from a decent basic breakfast with eggs, toast, and similar things. We were tired and slept past checkout, so staff called. We said we'd be leaving in a few minutes, then someone knocked on the door looking angry and unfriendly. That, along with the service in the morning not being especially nice, took a little away from the experience and my rating.

The room on the third floor was lovely, very clean, and had comfortable beds, a mini fridge, and a balcony over the main street with mountains in the distance. There are cafés, grocery shops, pharmacies, and plenty of other stores in the area. The hotel is about 15 minutes away by bus, or a 45-minute walk the whole way in a straight line. We had a wonderful Greece trip and would happily stay here again. Thanks to the team at Athens City Hotel, especially Kiriaki, Dimitris, and Angeliki, who were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a really nice stay in Athens. The room was quiet, and both it and the bathroom were more spacious than we'd expected. Breakfast was modest but plenty to get the day started. The hotel is outside the center, about an hour's walk from Monastiraki, but the metro is a quick option after a 10-minute walk, and the bus stop is next door. The staff were very friendly, reception stayed open 24/7, and we'd definitely return.

I was well looked after by courteous, professional staff. The room was clean, the bed made for a good night's sleep, and the bathroom was roomy with plenty of hot water.

A good option if you're watching your budget. The room was tidy, and breakfast was simple, with Greek yogurt, granola, and ingredients to make your own sandwiches. The hotel is near the center and the metro. The one drawback was that the TV didn't work.
