Best Western Plus Embassy Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice in the off season and had no problems. The breakfast is decent, and the location works well in any season.

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The hotel and surrounding area are very nice, though it’s a bit far from the center. Breakfast was average, but that seems to be true at other hotels too.

The Best Western Embassy Hotel is in a nice neighborhood near the US Embassy, with grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants close by. Buses, trolleys, and the metro make it easy to get downtown. It’s a small hotel, but the rooms aren’t tiny, and the hot buffet has plenty of good food. The staff were kind, always smiling, and eager to help. My room wasn’t very clean, especially inside the drawers and around the decorations. The phone didn’t work, and despite asking almost every day during my eight days there, nobody came to fix it. We had a second-floor balcony, but couldn’t sit out there because the many cats around the hotel had urinated on the floor and it smelled. I asked the manager to send someone to wash it, but nobody came until I asked the cleaning lady myself. Our room was next to the laundry closet, and we often heard cleaners getting towels and sheets.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The hotel sits on a dead-end street with convenient parking, and local pubs, bars, and restaurants are easy to reach. For me, the breakfast selection could be better, though there was enough available to have breakfast.
