The station is easy to find your way around, thanks to its clear signs, and it has stairs, elevators, and escalators. It looks nice and has ticket machines. Dafni is on line 2 of the Athens Metro, connecting Anthoupoli and Elliniko. Despite its name, the station isn’t entirely in Dafni, and its entrances and exits are actually in Agios Dimitrios.

It’s a fairly ordinary station, though some of the decoration is pretty good, especially the arrows. It’s handy for Kalogiron Square and the dozen buses based around the station. Two years ago, a cop who was into the station stopped me. That’s the only time that’s happened, and fortunately he let me go.

One odd little feature of Dafni is that it can leave you needing to take the lift. It used to be the first or terminal station, so each side of the platform only has escalators going one way. Even after the metro expanded and Dafni stopped being a terminal, they never added escalators in both directions for each side. It’s an adorable quirk.
