Marble House

We stayed at Marble House for four nights at the end of November 2025. Manos and Christos were able to give us a room with an amazing terrace after we asked if a balcony might be possible. Everything was clean, and the entrance hall is beautiful. The building is in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of both a metro station and the Acropolis, with lovely restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby. Manos, Christos, and the whole staff were super nice, and communication was seamless before and during our stay. Definitely recommend it, 10/10!

Koukaki made the stay for me: it’s lovely, and handy for getting around. Choosing a small hotel there also avoids adding to the pressure that can price local Greeks out of apartments. The room was spotless, the mattress was excellent, the decor was pleasant, and the water pressure was amazing. It’s a great deal, and I’d book directly. Just keep the size in mind: there isn’t room for something like yoga or two bedside tables. Heating and A/C come with a small extra charge. Athens was pretty cold during our visit, but the unit kept us comfortable when turned up. For the price, it may well exceed your expectations.

The reception pointed me toward a great restaurant, where I had a lovely dinner with Nancy and her friend Nikos. We shared several kinds of fish, salads, and local drinks, with stories about life in Athens along the way. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a pleasant meal with locals. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, and the sightseeing spots were only a short walk away. :)

We found plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by, and the street itself was quiet. It was a nice spot away from the touristy part of Athens, while still only a 10-15 minute walk from the Acropolis and Philopappos Hill. Our room had a great balcony, and though it was small, it worked fine for what we needed. We stayed eight nights, split between five nights in a quadruple room and three in the apartment. Everything was very clean, Christos and Manos were a huge help, and the price was right. We’d happily return.
