Petal Apartments

Our little apartment was right in the heart of Athens, and we loved it. Plenty of good food, markets, and pubs are an easy walk away, and the Acropolis is close too. Strongly recommend it if you want to stay in the city without the extra attention and crowds that come with a hotel. 5 stars.

Marios met us when we arrived and shared helpful tips about local cafes and sightseeing. We stayed in a clean, new two bedroom apartment on the ground floor, with everything we needed, including a refrigerator, kitchen, microwave, washing machine, hair dryer, wifi, and TV. The Acropolis and Syntagma are an easy short walk away, or you can take the tram. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

There was plenty of space, and it was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a good terrace. I did miss having kitchen basics, especially utensils and a coffee plunger.

The location was very good, and the apartment might suit a night or two, but I wouldn't stay longer. It really feels like a place for two, not four. The living room is tiny, while the dining table and area are outside, and the kitchen is poorly equipped. Check-in was poor, and you need to be very specific about when you'll arrive. The cutlery and dishes were dirty and needed refreshing. The cups had visible tea stains inside, the living room sofa blanket smelled strongly, and there was a cigarette butt beside the bed in one bedroom. There were also visible stains on the bathroom floor. Overall, the apartment was dirty.
