The Aristotelian Suites by Athens Stay

We left as soon as we’d put down our bags, looked around, and booked a hotel in the city center. The two bare bedrooms were in a basement that smelled of bins. We were a family of five, but there was no bed prepared for the fifth person and no sign of where one would go. We were hoping it wouldn’t be that dirty sofa. The listing photos do NOT reflect reality. It was a dark, dingy hovel with a dirty sofa, wobbly furniture, and no decor. Maybe we could have put up with the poor location if anything else had been good. The photos and reviews gave us false hope. I guess you get what you pay for, but I would not recommend it.

Everyone was welcoming and had left thoughtful things in the apartment. It was beautifully laid out, comfortable for the two of us, and could easily have accommodated more people. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We had a really great stay and would certainly come back!

The apartment is modern, comfortable, and well equipped, and the staff are accommodating. It’s conveniently located near bus routes, with a small supermarket close by and Lidl a reasonable walk away. It’s also an easy walk to where things are happening in Athens. One suggestion for the manager or owner: some furniture on the balcony would be useful. I’m staying in one of the apartments now and am very happy with it. Great place.

The apartment was bright, clean, and far larger than we expected. Getting into the city center was simple too, with a pedestrian bridge just a few meters away across the main highway, and parking was easy to find nearby. The only downsides were internet that cut in and out at times and a very odd loud noise from the air-conditioning units, even when they were off.
