The Convo Athens Riviera

The receptionist, the woman with black hair, couldn’t have cared less when I went down asking for clean sheets. I begged, and she acted like it was a huge inconvenience. She eventually gave me a pillowcase and blanket cover but refused to give me a sheet. When I went back because she’d forgotten it, she said to use the blanket cover as a sheet and that it wasn’t her job to know where clean sheets or towels were. She wouldn’t even ask anyone else. So I had to sleep without a sheet, with dirty towels and trash still in the room. We’d been sick, and I asked twice for the room to be cleaned and the sheets changed. The first time, nothing was done: we came back late at night to a filthy room, the trash was still there, and now there were ants everywhere. The second time, the so-called cleaner barged in while we were still there, did nothing, and the room was still dirty when we came back. In six nights, they cleaned the room only once. The staff were rude and lazy, with no respect for guests. Disgusting and completely unacceptable. If you care about hygiene or basic decency, avoid this hotel. Worst experience ever.

The building is clean, with rooms on many floors, and breakfast is available for €10. But the rooms are small, and the toilet is tiny, probably around one square meter. Bathing in that much space is a squeeze. There’s nowhere to store luggage or clothes, not even a line to hang a towel. The door has no extra latch for security, and I hated going to sleep worrying someone might burst in.

Stayed four nights and would definitely come back. The rooms were clean and quiet, and Lambros at reception was a big help with the booking. Breakfast was decent and good too.

Ina and Viron were accommodating from the moment I arrived. The design is minimal, with no unnecessary furniture, and everything worked. My room was clean, the Wi-Fi was fast, the beds were comfortable, and security was great. For the price range, it’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Athens in the past decade. Highly recommend.
