The terrace was ideal for a laid-back drink, and there’s a lovely café downstairs. The food was delicious, and I was kindly upgraded to an XL Suite, which was fantastic. Staff were warm, professional, and genuinely helpful, always going above and beyond. The hotel is stylish and boutique, yet extremely comfortable, in a perfect Athens location. I’d absolutely recommend it, especially for solo travelers, and I’d happily stay again.

The Modernist is genuinely loving and welcoming to pets, and cosy for people too. My dog had a hard time leaving the fluffy bed set up for her. She got a scarf as a birthday gift in the room, and she’s happy with that now. The staff were wonderful, thanks Asproula, Zoe, Ioanna, Pavlos, Charis, Spyros, Aristea and Smaragda! The room was so thoughtfully equipped that I got home and considered rearranging my apartment to make it work as well as the Modernist room. I loved all the little touches: the yoga mat, the lovely corridor smell, the branded cups, and a seriously top-level mini bar. And the breakfast was unreal. 🫶

Breakfast had so many great choices, from pastries and healthy smoothies to fresh coffee. I also ate at the hotel restaurant, and loved every bite: the house salad, Mediterranean salad bowl, lemon dessert, and Appletini drinks were all fantastic. My XL room was spacious, full of thoughtful treats, and had a jacuzzi that was perfect for relaxing. The balcony view over Athens was stunning, especially at night. The Modernist Hotel made for such a cosy, elegant, memorable stay. I can’t wait to return!

The room and rooftop both had wonderful views, and the staff were smiling, polite, and very helpful. The decor is tasteful, and the design creates a warm feel throughout the beautifully put-together spaces. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of variety and high-quality products. A really excellent experience.

The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We didn’t catch the names of the two women, but their local knowledge helped us book three excellent restaurants for each evening. The hotel is in a quiet area, with the main attractions a short walk or underground ride away. We stayed three nights as a family of four, and the XL room with an interconnecting room was perfect for us. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast was fresh and tasty, with local specialties that changed each day. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it.
