The staff were friendly and helpful, and for the price and location this is a great hotel. There’s a bit of wear and tear, but it didn’t really bother me. I used the place mainly to rest between outings while exploring Athens.

The staff were welcoming throughout, and the room was a decent size for me on my own. It would also be comfortable enough for two. The hotel keeps things functional and clean rather than focusing on style or extra comfort, which suits a budget-friendly stay. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk from central Athens, along a pleasant route past Kallimarmaro Stadium and through the National Gardens. The area felt safe, and although the hotel is near a main road, I didn’t have any noise problems. There are plenty of places nearby to get coffee, drinks, or a meal.

The staff were what I appreciated most. They were so kind and welcoming, and even though I’m only a beginner in Greek, they made an effort to speak with me in Greek as much as they could. I was grateful for their patience and openness, and it gave me a chance to practice. Zapion Hotel is right in the center of Athens, but tucked into a peaceful area, with everything close and easy to reach. I’m very happy with my stay and will choose this hotel again on my next visit. The staff were really helpful, even looking after our luggage while we went out before our next check-in. And the cats outside were delighted with our leftover sardines! It’s a lovely little hotel in the wall, with warm service, a comfortable stay, and a great spot for exploring Athens. Don’t come expecting luxury. I’d definitely recommend it. ☺️

Breakfast costs 7€, and I’d definitely recommend it. Just remember to order it the day before. The hotel is small and very central, but the pedestrian street in front keeps things completely quiet. Reception were extremely friendly and helpful.
