I found it really easy to work from Calergi, with fast WiFi, comfortable apartments, and a kitchen equipped for cooking. The weekly cleaners were wonderful and left everything sparkling, and I loved my apartment so much it felt like home. The location was just right for me: away from the busy city center, but still close to it. There's a supermarket and pharmacy a few minutes' walk away, good tavernas, and a lovely bakery and café next door. I'd go down for coffee every morning and chat with the local regulars. From my first call with Manolis Sr through arrival and settling in, everything went smoothly. Manolis, the owner and son of Manolis Sr, was warm, helpful, and easy to reach whenever I had a question. His mother Felicia designed the whole place, and every room is put together with real style. I loved every minute of my stay and can't recommend it enough.

We loved our apartment at Calergi Residence. It was comfortable, felt like home, and had a well-equipped kitchen and fast WiFi. The cleaners came weekly and did a wonderful job, leaving it sparkling. The place has a lovely bakery and café right next door, along with a supermarket, pharmacy, and good tavernas all within walking distance. A great spot for morning coffee and a friendly chat with locals. The whole property is thoughtfully designed by Felicia, with each room having its own character and details. The owners, Manolis Sr, Felicia, and their son Manolis, were warm, helpful, quick to communicate, and available whenever we needed them. Booking and settling in were both seamless. It's in a peaceful part of Rethymno, away from the city center's bustle but still close by. I'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

One thing to plan for: you'll definitely need a car, since buses are infrequent and walking to Rethymnon isn't really practical. Manolis was a great host, and the apartments are all individually furnished with lots of care and detail. The weekly cleaning through November also made our stay worthwhile.

I liked the apartment so much that I came back and extended my stay after an unfortunate situation at another place in Crete. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped, and the main terrace was lovely for sunsets and sunbathing. The property gives you chances to meet other guests while still offering plenty of privacy, and it felt like a relaxing little oasis. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, especially Manolis. Just outside, there are local spots for coffee and a small supermarket. You get a real village feel, with a few tavernas a short walk away where you can eat outdoors by a beautiful church. The bells are loud on Sundays, though I actually enjoyed them, so just be prepared. I'd absolutely stay again and recommend it.
