Our week at Villa Anastasia in Rethymnon, Crete, at the end of August went by far too fast. Anastasia is warm and lovely, and did everything she could to make us happy. We never went without: there was a basket of fresh fruit and wine, and the fridge was stocked with all sorts of drinks. My husband wanted to try traditional Greek food, so Anastasia offered to cook for us. It was a real treat. She also brought us homemade cake one day, and stuffed grape leaves and olives another. She loves children and animals. We’ll be back, we promise!
