Our three children made Azolimnos beach a good fit for us. It's no more than 250m away, with open space and natural shade from tamarisks, plus a shower, cafés, food, a mini market, sunbeds, and free umbrellas. It isn't the island's cosmopolitan beach. The beach can be fun when the meltemi blows, but the waves then aren't suitable for very young children or anyone unfamiliar with those conditions. The southern beaches at Vari and Makry Gialos are close by and are sheltered from the North Wind most of the time. A small supermarket is a four-minute drive away, and Ermoupolis is 12 minutes away. The rooms looked just like the photos, were wonderfully clean, and had mattresses more comfortable than the ones at home. The balcony and location were incredible, with an east-facing view of Delos & Mykonos. The owners, Sotiris & Sofia, were hospitable and helpful throughout. They explained that economic hardship in Greece meant they couldn't open the café, bar, and breakfast area. We would have preferred to have those available, and they would have made our stay much easier. Still, the owners made a real effort from the first day to meet our needs: they bought us a small kitchenette with an oven, brought us things we requested like a broom, dustpan, and kitchen utensils, and let us check out late on departure day. We will definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
