La Riviera Barbati Seaside Luxurious Apartments & villas

Housekeeping and management were respectful and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We can't wait to come back. Villa 15 made our holiday, with its position, partial privacy, and pool in sunshine all day. The outside space was clean and roomy, with lots of seats and sunbeds around an incredible private pool. The villa wasn't too overlooked, though when the apartments in front had their shutters open it could feel intrusive. That only really became an issue in the last few days, and it didn't spoil our stay. Some climbing plants in the right places might add privacy. We had drinking water, coffee, tea, milk, and a bottle of Ouzo waiting when we arrived. Even though it was the middle of the night, a polite, friendly man checked us in and showed us to the room. The sloping drive and many steps to reach it were manageable even when we were tired. Our three-bedroom villa worked perfectly for our family, with three bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living space, and a lovely private pool. Local supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants were a minute's walk away, with gift shops and car hire about five minutes farther on. The shingle and stone beach was five minutes away down quite a few steps, and its seafront bar was popular with guests and locals. We didn't use the main pool, but it looked spacious and busy.

Staff were very helpful, and there are some lovely restaurants nearby. The villa and its pool area are beautiful. The beach is a typical Corfu one, with nice places to eat too. I'd recommend the boat trips from the beach, and hiring a car to visit Corfu town and the island's other lovely beaches. The bus is easy to use as well.

We absolutely loved our two weeks there, from the end of September into the first week of October. It was just after high season, so things were less crowded, but the weather was still good. The beach is just a three-minute walk away, and there are a few good restaurants and a small market within walking distance. It's quiet, although the beach bars can play music on weekend evenings. We booked directly as private guests and were in touch with the owner, who surprised us with an upgrade when we arrived. The welcome was great, the setting was wonderful, and the apartment had a gorgeous view. Cleaning was great too, and the staff were friendly.

The food was fantastic and the quiet location made for a truly relaxing holiday. We’re just wrapping up a week at La Riviera, where our two-bedroom apartment was absolutely fantastic and had everything we could ask for. There are restaurants and a couple of shops nearby. Watch out for mosquitoes, though, and be prepared for a steep hill on the way to the restaurants and shops. Even so, this place is a real gem.
