The bathroom was clean, and the room had a nice view and was close to both the beach and the port. The host's attitude was a problem, though. She was rude, and after agreeing that our fourth friend could join us in the three-bed room with an extra bed, she asked us for 20 EUR in cash when we left, without giving any proof of payment. She had also said we could stay four extra hours on our last day, but got annoyed when we left just ten minutes later than agreed. She was pleasant until checkout, when she wanted more money.

We loved sitting on the main balcony each morning, looking out over Batsi bay. Georgina and Babis were perfect hosts and made us feel as if they'd welcomed us into their home. They shared useful tips on island beaches and restaurants, brought fresh towels every afternoon, and had the apartment cleaned daily. They also arranged both an early check-in and a late check-out.

The room was a good size for two and very clean, with a small but lovely bay view. This is a family-run place, and the couple were polite and helpful. We were also lucky to meet their son Alexander. Parking takes a little figuring out, but it's manageable. If you don't rent a car, there are steps down to Batsi's streets, followed by a good four-minute walk.

The view is lovely, and the place feels like home. The couple who run the rooms are warm, upbeat people, and it's more than worth the money. Don't wait even a minute to book!
