Avra apartments 2

From the edge of Benitses' picturesque old village, Avra sits below a beautiful mountain covered in cypress and olive trees. It was so quiet and peaceful, with only the cicadas interrupting the calm of the afternoon. A gentle breeze is always blowing, so we didn't need the A/C, even though every room has it. The views are unforgettable. The apartments are a minute's walk from a swimming pool, and under five minutes from the beach, Benitses Marina, and plenty of cafes and restaurants along the waterfront.

The balcony view was beautiful, and a few other things were good, which is why I gave it 2 stars. The room itself was in poor condition: the walls were very dirty, with strange marks and a red stain that looked like blood. The table and paintings were dirty too. The toilet was partly broken. The mattresses were dirty, very old, and painful to sleep on, with springs sticking out. The sheets had been folded over in several bad layers. It felt like a cheap investment.

The apartment was lovely and the surroundings were clean. Shops, restaurants, and the beach are only a few steps away, and the price was good. We stayed for a week and had a very positive experience. The owners were really family-friendly. If we come back, we'll stay here again.

The manager is patient, genuinely nice, and helpful, and clearly cares about whether you're satisfied. We often ended up putting off our trips to the beach just to chat with him. The apartments I saw weren't big, but had everything you might need. For what I paid and the service I got, I almost felt guilty. The apartment with the big terrace is especially lucky, thanks to its position and view.
