They really live up to the hotel's motto, "Come as guests, leave as friends." The staff were super friendly and helpful, and you get a welcome drink at Avra Tavern on the beach. The beach is just across the street. My room had the essentials, including a coffee pot, fridge, and hairdryer. It was cleaned daily, and fresh towels came every 3 days.

For the price, I thought it was a very nice stay. The good bits were the reception service, free umbrellas, and welcome drinks. Room 2A had no privacy and looked onto the street. The water was frustrating: when someone in another room used hot or cold water, or flushed the toilet, ours turned very hot or cold. The beach was the worst ever for me. But with a rented scooter you can reach better ones, like issos or paralia, and get more out of your stay. The trip paxos-antipaxos is worth it, too.

I had the best solo trip of my life! In just two days in Corfu, I got to see Paleokastritsa, Corfú Town, and Benitses. Avra Boutique Hotel was great for its location, room, and service, with traditional rooms that were beautiful and had everything I needed. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly, and the beach views were amazing. The beach itself is only a one-minute walk away, and people around town are so warm and sweet. Daniel deserves special thanks for making the trip possible and for being so positive and attentive. It's a great place for a peaceful stay. Thanks, I'll definitely come back for more days and to see the north of the island.

The beach is right across the road, and shops and restaurants are very close. The airport is about 20-30 minutes away, depending on traffic. My double room on the first floor was very small. The bathroom was very dated, the double bed was comfortable, but the sheets didn't fit. There was a fridge, kettle, mugs, A/C, and a small balcony. Daniel was on reception for most of my stay and was friendly and helpful. He let me leave my luggage, check in a couple of hours early, and arranged a taxi to the airport. The hotel is linked with Avra Tavern on the Beach. A notice in my room said sun bed hire was free for guests who had breakfast there, but that notice is out of date. Although it's advertised, neither the hotel nor the taverna honor the arrangement. If you love the beach and aren't after anything luxurious, I can recommend it.
