Faliraki Apartments

We used our studio mostly to sleep, since we were busy exploring the island, and it turned out to be a very good value for the money. The mountain-view studio kept us away from the main-road noise, and we stayed there for 11 nights. It had basic necessities, AC, and a terrace with a portable table and chairs. The furniture was old but functional, and everything was clean. The host had also left mosquito repellents, mineral water in the fridge, and nes coffee. Our only issues were the missing shower curtain, which meant water splashed around the bathroom, and no hot plate in the studio. The snack bar nearby was handy. The hotel is a good base for exploring the whole island, especially the south. There’s a bus stop outside with connections to town and southern places, a private beach with free sunbeds, a snack bar, and car and bike rentals included among the services. Our hosts were happy to share useful information, and the center of Benitses is about a 10-minute walk away.

Nikos, Magdalena, Vassilious, and Christina were great hosts. The rooms were so clean, the beach was lovely, and the food Vassillios and Christina made was great, especially the dish of the day. You can also hire a car, motorbike, or quadbike at competitive rates. Love this place.

The owners are friendly and happy to help with anything. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the beach was nice. There’s a cafe serving home-cooked food too. Great place.

We felt very unwelcome. The host was rude and complained about us using his electricity for the air conditioning, even though no one had shown us how to use it. The pictures were misleading: they made it look like the apartment was on the beach, but a main road separates it from the beach. Our back room overlooked the car park, which was awful. The decor was terrible, like something I haven’t seen since the 70s. There are cheaper apartments in the area with nicer hosts.
