Theofilia Sea Side Studio

We booked the apartment for three nights, and it had loads of potential. The terrace and view were wonderful, with direct access to the sea. Inside, everything was modern, well maintained, comfortable, and spotless. The bed was wide and comfortable at 160x200 cm, the 60 cm shower had great pressure and just the right temperature, and the AC was quiet and worked very well. Wi-Fi was stable at 185 Mbps. The newer appliances were better than those shown in the Booking.com photos: a coffee machine, oven, stovetop, and fridge. There was also a dehumidifier, useful with the humidity so close to the sea. The apartment came with plenty of extras: wine, two bottles of water, coffee, cream, juice, tea, cookies, fruit, jams, bread, ham, cheese, spices, salt, pepper, paprika, olive oil, kitchen utensils, dishcloths, paper towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, a duvet, beach towels, loungers, patio furniture, a hairdryer, first aid kit, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board, and toaster. The frying pan was worn and scratched and could use replacing. There was a large extendable table with two extra chairs as well as the usual ones. The apartment itself was an 11/10, and communication with the owner was excellent. Sadly, our stay was disrupted by problems outside the owner's control. Garbage was burned nearby for many hours on two days, so we couldn't use the terrace, go for a walk, or enjoy being outside. Smoke got into the studio even with the doors shut, and it was hard to breathe. We tried filtering the air with the range hood, dehumidifier, and bathroom ventilation, but nothing helped, so we eventually left the apartment despite having paid for that night. We wanted to cut our stay short, but because we reported it at 2:59 PM, a refund was no longer possible. Street noise and vibrations also came into the apartment even though it was at the back. The soundproofing was very poor: we could hear the next-door guest talking, snoring, and coughing. Loud hissing from pipes in the walls, perhaps a neighbor's boiler filling, woke us at 5:50 a.m. At that time of year, only one restaurant in Benitses was open.
