Villa Liostasi

After two years of the pandemic, I could finally travel again. As a paramedic, I really needed the calm of Villa Helios. We spent two weeks there, surrounded by greenery, and it helped us feel rested in both body and mind. It’s hard to put into words how much we enjoyed this lovely villa. Everything was clean and pleasant, and the service was top-notch. Having our own car made it quick to reach both the north and south of the island, so renting one is a good idea. Many thanks from the Seger and Gissberg family. We’ll definitely return.

Mr Christos is a welcoming, friendly host who stops by each day to see if all is well and sometimes brings Greek pastries. The place is lovely and tucked into a quiet corner of the island. I’d definitely recommend booking here for a holiday.

We’ll definitely be back. Liostasi Villas gave us one of the best holidays we could have hoped for, and the hosts were a big part of that. They were always available, and even left us two packs of the coffee we liked after we asked where to buy it. Such a thoughtful gift says a lot about how warmly they look after guests. The setting is peaceful and private, with nature all around, but the nearest village is only five minutes away by car. There are beaches close by, good running and hiking routes, and a section of the Corfu Trail nearby. It’s a lovely spot for families and for anyone who wants an active break in a calm place. The three apartments are fully equipped, each with several private terraces. Ours had four. There’s also a beautiful pool, a BBQ area and a meadow where kids can play or everyone can relax. When we arrived, the fridge was stocked with fruit, juice, cakes, sweets, milk, beer, several kinds of coffee and jams, well beyond the usual coffee and pastry. Thank you for a memorable stay.

You can hear the sea at night from this gorgeous villa, set against green mountains. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and the house itself was immaculate. It had far more than we usually find in a self-catering place, including a sewing kit, first aid kit and mosquito repellent. We were also welcomed with some basic food and a bottle of wine. There was a small mix-up on arrival, but Christos, the owner, did everything he could to sort it out quickly. He really is happy to help. A car is useful because of the location, though the village and beaches are only a 5 to 10 minute drive away. Fantastic place to stay, and we’ll be back!
