That balcony view was fantastic, and the hotel grounds, pool, and exterior looked pristine and modern. The owners were very nice, and when we asked for hand or bath soap, they were happy to bring some. I assume the maid had simply forgotten it. There was plenty of room for luggage, and a tiny safe, though it wouldn’t fit a computer. I didn’t try the hair dryer, and wasn’t keen to touch much else in the room. The place looked like it could be fun in summer, but room #2 was the complete opposite of the exterior. Everything inside felt old and run down. The twin beds were literally springs, with no mattress or pad, and the bedspread was stained. It may have been clean, but it was so worn that I couldn’t really tell. There was no coffee in the room, which I usually see elsewhere. With no screen door, we couldn’t leave the balcony door open at night, so the A/C had to run to keep cool. We normally stay up until midnight, but went to bed at 9, hoping to forget the surroundings. It was quiet for sleeping until a rooster started crowing about an hour before dawn. This was the hardest rating I’ve ever had to give. I can only hope the owners plan to bring the rooms up to the standard of the outside.

Perched in the mountains with a 360° view, this place is peaceful and relaxing, and the scenery is incredible. The pool bar, breakfast, and food were all amazing. It was our first time in Crete, and the service made a huge impression. Mary and her family, along with all the staff, took care of every detail. The host couldn’t do enough for us. I’d give 10 stars for service if I could, and we’ll definitely return!

We had a hassle-free holiday and plan to come back next year. We hadn’t rented a car, then realized we needed one, and eleni arranged a new kia picanto to be dropped at the hotel for a very fair price. The hotel provided anything we needed. The sea and mountain views are beautiful, and the pool was refreshing in 37°c heat. There’s also a poolside bar. The location was perfect and the service second to none.

The pool is great, with a cool bar, and the food was nice too. It’s close to the good restaurants in town. Lovely setting with a family feel, and the owners and staff are lovely.

We were looking for an affordable place to sleep, so the slightly old-fashioned decor didn’t bother us. The rooms are large and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel sits uphill, so a balcony with a view gives you a beautiful look at the sea. Outside, there’s lovely greenery and a big, nice pool with a little shade from the palm trees. Parking is available, breakfast is an option, and at night they open a small cocktail bar by the pool. The people were very welcoming.
