Azade Chania

Breakfast was excellent, with fresh local flavors and friendly staff. The property is beautiful too, and our spacious room had a lovely balcony view. We’d gladly recommend Azade Chania to anyone visiting. Santos, the manager, was especially welcoming and hospitable. Azade Chania is right in the heart of Chania, which made it a great base for our first visit. We parked at Talos Square, about a 5-minute walk away, though finding a spot took some patience.

Though it’s in the middle of the old town, this lovely hotel was completely peaceful. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, but the kind, helpful staff made the stay especially nice. Thanks for looking after us so well, Artemis, Eva & Xanthos.

AZADE was our favorite by far after a few weeks traveling around the Greek islands and staying in four other hotels. It’s a small boutique hotel with nine rooms in Chania’s old port, in a renovated 17th century building. They’ve kept the building’s charm while giving the rooms a beautiful modern feel. Our room was huge and the food was fabulous. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, and the manager gave us excellent dinner recommendations. There’s no parking anywhere in the old port, so you have to carry your luggage about 200m, but it’s an easy walk. We’ll definitely return. This hotel is a must.

We stayed four nights in the Masonite suite this August. The room and hotel were beautiful and well looked after, and the breakfast was among the best we had on our trip. Staff were fantastic, very professional, and gave us great recommendations. The hotel sits near the center of the main old town area, which was convenient, but it stayed quiet inside and shielded us from the noise of the main streets. We have high standards for hotels, and this one exceeded them all.
