Camere Maritima

We had everything we needed and couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable stay. Giorgos wasn't there in person, but he was always reachable by phone and made sure we were happy throughout. Before the trip, he sent all the details we needed, including photos of the doors and where to find the keypads. He also shared places to park, which is always tricky in Chania. He checked in during our stay, then got in touch again at the end to thank us and wish us a safe trip. The service couldn't have been better. Our room was lovely and immaculately clean, with all the facilities we needed: a fridge, coffee machine, safe, and hairdryer. There was complimentary water and coffee when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by the roomy outdoor area overlooking the surrounding streets, with even a small sea view. It had a hanging chair, two more chairs, and a drying rail. The location is a narrow, pretty street, just a 30-second walk from the harbour. We liked hearing the gentle hum of activity around us. It wasn't noise, just a nice vibe. For beef and pasta, I'd recommend Palazzo Almare restaurant. They finish the pasta at your table in a huge cheese wheel, which is delicious and a fun touch. The service was great too. We also loved Zepos restaurant and went back a couple of times. We had a lovely bottle of full-bodied red wine, Nostos Alexandra, and enjoyed the salmon, risotto, and lamb knuckle. The service was great, and they didn't hassle us to come in like some other restaurants did. We had a great trip to Chania and wouldn't hesitate to book Camere Maritima again.
