Domus Blanc Boutique Hotel, Member of Domus Elegance Collection

The Gabriel suite was gorgeous, with an amazing layout and an outdoor hot tub. I liked how the bathroom and wardrobe area felt almost separate from the sleeping space, and everything was immaculately clean. The building's front exterior is especially beautiful, and the whole stay at Domus Blanc was lovely. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, and the kindness and respect from every staff member continued the whole time. Breakfast started with a familiar-to-me, UK-style afternoon tea setup, followed by a main dish we ordered. Both days it was delicious. On the second day they made freshly grilled vegetables especially for me as a vegetarian, and they were the best I've ever tasted. The Domus Elegance Collection is only based in Chania, which is a shame, because this was truly one of our best hotel experiences.

The hotel's own restaurant was fantastic, and I'd definitely have dinner there at least once. We spent most of our time at the beach or in the city, which suited us well. If you're hoping to lounge by a pool, though, this probably isn't the place: it's a small, cozy pool with just a few loungers, and the area gets quite shady, especially off-season. The city center is a 20-30 minute walk, and there aren't many restaurants close to the hotel, so keep that in mind. Breakfast worked well for me: you pick from a menu and get unlimited coffee of your choice, which I preferred to a buffet since I'd otherwise overeat. The rooms and hotel were super clean, modern, and had nice appliances. Staff were exceptionally friendly and there whenever we needed anything, making the stay feel special. 10/10 for us, we'd highly recommend it and would come back to Crete.

I've stayed in hotels all over the world, and Domus Blanc ranks among the top three of my lifetime. The staff's warmth and care were unmatched, and the service was the best I've experienced. It's a boutique hotel where they really try to make you feel special. The grounds, with a small heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, were amazing. The rooms are on the smaller side, but have everything you could need. The complimentary breakfast each day was gourmet style. Stay here when you're in Greece, you won't regret it!
