Harismari Cozy Hotel

Marie made my stay feel so personal. She greeted me with a hug, and even though she doesn't speak English, we had a lovely time chatting through Google Translate over wine in the evening. Her care for the place comes through in every detail. The room had a fridge and safe, plus an espresso machine with chocolate, candy and Ouzo. I also loved the bathroom, especially having both a waterfall shower head and a handheld one after long days out. The hotel was spotless and full of the old Venetian town's charm, right in the heart of Chania. I left feeling very grateful for Marie's kindness and hospitality. The building is a beautiful renovated historic place, and the room was fantastic, with an easy, open layout, a comfortable bed and a lovely shower. Everything about the hotel was great. Maria and Anna were so warm, kind, hospitable and helpful, and I will miss them. We were in our mid-50s. Anna speaks English and Greek; Maria understands a little, and everyone uses a translator app. There are no lifts, but it was manageable with just one flight of stairs. Anna helped with my luggage and my husband carried the rest. For meals, we simply went out to explore the many places and bakeries. Coming from iraklion, take the direct bus to chania bus depot, then it's a short walk to the hotel. We visited in early October. The weather was lovely, though some evenings called for a light cardigan. It rained once, and I had a tiny travel umbrella in my bag just in case.

What really made our days in Chania special was the welcoming kindness of Maria, Valia and Theo. They were the best hotel hosts I've met. The rooms were beautiful and cozy, spotlessly clean, and had every detail we needed. The location was excellent too.

Maria greeted us warmly and offered us drinks when we arrived. She even brought kolaches for breakfast. This is a cozy little boutique hotel in a very central spot, within easy walking distance of the city, and just right for a stay in Chiania.
