La Maison Ottomane

I’m an extremely light sleeper, and even heavy duty earplugs don’t usually solve it. I was in the ground floor junior suite, with a room above, and could hear footsteps overhead. That was the only issue I had. Most people probably wouldn’t be bothered, but if you’re also a very light sleeper, I’d suggest one of the other two rooms. Otherwise, I loved my short stay. Alexandra and Andreas were wonderful, the room was beautifully designed, and breakfast in the courtyard was fresh and fabulous, with lots of dishes made to order. The location is lovely, just around the corner from the water and close to great restaurants and shops. There’s also a small parking lot beside the house, which was a bonus. Highly recommend staying here.

We were there at a great time of year, with almost no tourists, and wished we’d booked more nights. La Maison Ottomane was easily the best place we stayed during our two weeks traveling around Crete. It’s a stylish boutique hotel, and I highly recommend it.

The location in the old town worked perfectly, and parking was easy. Alex and Andreas gave us a genuinely warm welcome, and Andreas’s food suggestions were right on target. The room was carefully decorated and beautifully presented, with luxurious sheets and an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was an amazing daily treat, with a huge range of delicious local food. We had a fantastic five star stay at La Maison Ottomane and highly recommend it.

Andreas and Alex brought a lot of warmth to our stay. We enjoyed our daily chats and really appreciated their suggestions for food and things to do in Chania and around Crete. Breakfast in the peaceful courtyard was lovely too. Our room at La Maison Ottomane was charming and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better, just a short walk from the harbour. Private parking was a huge help, since it’s almost impossible to find a spot in Old Town Chania.
