Lefka Ori

Hotel Lefka Ori sits in a quiet neighborhood, yet the port and the busiest parts of town are an ideal distance away. The staff were very welcoming, and our room was pleasant, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of timeless charm. We had a wonderful stay and warmly recommend it.

We enjoyed our two-night stay after all. The owner was friendly when we arrived later than planned, and gave us a local map plus suggestions for places to eat. The rooms are compact, with modern fittings; the air conditioning was excellent and the Wi-Fi reasonable. They were clean, though one ensuite had a slight drain smell. Covering the drain fixed it. There’s a balcony, but it faces a busy road in central Chania, so the view isn’t scenic. The location has upsides and downsides: coffee shops and bakeries are close, and the old town is about 1km away, but traffic noise was considerable and continued until midnight.

Anastasia was so friendly and helpful, and we couldn’t have been better looked after. All the staff were lovely. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with new furnishings and a new bathroom. The bus station was just a couple of blocks away, and downtown, the Old town, and other amenities were a few blocks farther.

Spiros, thank you for everything. We’ll definitely be back. For the price, this was great value, especially with the old port and city only an eight minutes’ walk away. We were pleasantly surprised by the refurbished room, with new beds, furniture, and bathroom.
